Labour MP living in a dream world

I think the Labour MP, Andrew Dismore must be living on another planet. he's put down an EDM saying that London's buses are "modern, efficient and reliable alternative to the car" and that increased usage numebrs is because of "effective regulation, prudent and sustained investment and political support".

The reason more people in London are using buses is because there are (a) more people in London, (b) journeys in London are often interconnected between multiple transport types, and (c) cars are not a practical alternative. It's not because people think the service is efficient and reliable - it isn't.

More nonsense from Dismal.

No doubt the great and good of Edgware and Hendon will be writing to SW1, furiously disagreeing with him.

That way he can write back and justify his absurdly high postage bill.

"Buses, reliable" - I suppose it depends on your definition of reliable.

(Now the trams in Bordeaux the other week)

But does Andrew have a bus pass?
