PMQs is on right now and Gordon Brown has just made a startling admission if I heard it right. He said that "A&E have 5000 more attendence each year because of our investment". I always knew extra public spending could be dangerous but I never realised it actually caused people to need hospital treatment. A brave display of honesty from our Prime Minister.
Update: I got it wrong. Brown didn't say it was 5000 more attendances. He said A&E has 5,000,000 million more attendances. Not just a brave display of honesty, a staggering one! Brown admits increased spending causes 5,000,000 extra injuries each years!
Update 2: From Hansard - "5 million more A and E attendances every year as a result of investment". Evil money!
I suppose if A&E are successfully dealing with 5,000 more people within the limits for various maladies that would be a win? is that what he said?
