The other day I was in desperate need of an FTP client and a colleague suggested to me an Add-On available for Firefox. I may be behind the times with this one, but if anyone needs an FTP client then I strongly recommend
FireFTP. I know its not politics, but it's Saturday night and you shouldn't be worrying about that sort of thing anyway.
I'm more worried about sobriety on a Saturday night !

Whats FTP then? Do I use ot for my podcast files?

ReplyDeleteDrop them into a folder which I think is connected to a server in the US. Aren't I technically minded!!
ReplyDeleteFTP is what you use to transfer files to an internet server (File Transfer Protocol).
ReplyDeleteIf you need an FTP client for Windows, I would go with SmartFTP (as Jeremy said).
alterantively you could go for platform independence with a Firefox add-on that acts exactly like Smart without the extra resources.
ReplyDeleteYes Jonathan you probably do use an FTP client. I prefer Filezilla myself or Cyberduck when I'm on the good old Mac. I'll give that addon a go though. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like Filezilla on Windows, and currently use gFTP on Ubuntu.
ReplyDeleteI seem to recall trying FireFTP and having some problems, and it messed up my Firefox profile, but maybe I'll give it another go.
